Mr. Joseph Camacho was born in San Diego California and is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, retiring as a Commander after completing a 20 year career in Naval Aviation flying A-6 Intruder aircraft. His last military assignment was with the United States Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) as Chief Observer/Trainer Team, providing three-star level Joint Task Force Commander and Staff training to Joint forces.
During his final tour of active duty, Mr. Camacho was collaterally assigned as the project officer for the emerging joint Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) effort for the where he implemented JWFC’s ADL program through the conception, development, and execution of the Joint Distributed Learning Center (JDLC), now named Joint Knowledge Online. Mr. Camacho was directly involved in the development of ADL for the United States Joint Forces Command JWFC as Director and Project Manager for ADL support to USJFCOM for Northrop Grumman Mission Systems. He has been associated with the development of ADL within JFCOM for the last decade.
Mr. Camacho is currently assigned as the Government Program Manager for both the JKDDC JMO and the RSCN Programs. He is charged with oversight of the provision of timely, relevant and globally accessible joint knowledge preparing and assisting individuals to support combatant commanders and integrated operations. Mr. Camacho is also charged with the implementation of Advanced Distributed learning (ADL) in support of Regional Security Cooperation worldwide.
